US-based Vertiv has begun offering single- or three-phase uninterruptible power supply systems or a stand-alone batteries rental service to the US market.
According to Vertiv, formerly Emerson Network Power, the new serviceprovides both product and service expertise from the original equipment manufacturer to support the equipment.
Vertivsaid it is supplying“a broad selection of UPS systems ranging from 8-750 kVA (including batteries)”, and “factory-trained” technicians for equipment start-up, as well as preventive and emergency maintenance solutions.
In addition, Vertiv’s rental programme includes certified equipment with same-day deployment. The company also handles shutdown and equipment pick-up. This allows usersto have power to get back online quickly following a UPS failure and unplanned outage,or to support a short-term load increase for a planned special event, Vertiv said.
In March, Vertiv installed its Liebert APM UPS systems, with a maximum energy efficiency of up to 96.3% designed for medium to large-sized industrial applications, in Redland City Council’s new datacentre in Queensland, Australia.
