Centiel increases power density of CumulusPower UPS

April 17, 2018

Centiel, the namesake UK subsidiary of the Switzerland-based UPS manufacturer, has launched new 25kW and 60kW UPS modules for its 4th generation modular UPS system, CumulusPower.

“This industry-leading three-phase, modular system offers ‘9 nines’ availability with low total cost of ownership and now with 20% more power density,” Centiel said.

“These new modules complete the family, which also include: 10kW, 20kW and 50kW options, offering the ultimate in UPS flexibility,” Centiel said.

Mike Elms, Centiel’s sales and marketing director, said: “Real estate is expensive and so datacentres need to save space where they can. The new 25kW and 60kW versions of CumulusPower have all the benefits of our existing industry-leading modular UPS but now offer yet more power in the same the same footprint.”

Centiel unveiled CumulusPower—which also has 10kW, 20kW and 50kW modules— in the UK for the first time at Data Centre World in London last month.

Earlier this year, Centiel in the UK appointed David Bond as chairman. Bond is a former CEO of ABB’s Newave Energy group.
