TrippLite unveils SV Series datacentre UPS

February 15, 2018

Power protection solutions manufacturer TrippLite has launched its SV Series— a new line of SmartOnline 208/120V 3-Phase UPS systems designed mainly for datacentres.

Chicago-based TrippLite said the systems “can support as many as 15 typical IT racks in one small footprint”.

“The SV Series’ modular construction enables capacity expansion in 20kVA increments without downtime,” the company said. “The 20kVA power modules may also be hot-swapped for maintenance, providing an exceptionally low mean time to repair— approximately 90% less than equivalently rated monolithic UPS systems.”

TrippLite UPS product manager Carolyn Brady said the SV Series UPS “delivers more actual power to protect critical loads in less space, and its rack-based architecture makes it an ideal solution for in-row installations”.

Power and battery modules are built into the UPS frame in configurations to align with the user’s power capacity and battery runtime requirements, TrippLite said.
