The UK subsidiary of Germany’s Bender group has completed work on equipping a new GBP 12 million ($16.6m) maternity unit project at a hospital in England with critical care power systems.
Bender UK said its equipment at the South Lakes Birth Centre in Furness General Hospital includes medical IT power systems and uninterruptible power supplies.
The installation was carried out by Bowker— a specialist mechanical and electrical contractor.
According to Bender, the company has installed critical power and other equipment at more than 500 hospitals in the UK and Ireland. The company’s portfolio includes the the Bender Medical UPS from 500kVA up to 800kVA.
