A new “industrial grade fully modular” UPS— Protect Flex— has been unveiled by AEG Power Solutions.
The company, which is owned by Luxembourg-based 3W Power, said the UPS is designed to meet increasing industry demand for power supply equipment with “a compact footprint” but with a high level of reliability and resistance to “harsh environmental conditions”.
Protect Flex combines a modular architecture based on 10 and 15 kVA/kW, hot swappable power modules, transformer-less and IGBT based, with a “customisable set of options with N+1 inbuilt power redundancy to maximise reliability”, AEG said.
The new system has an IP43 rating protection and is “designed to maximise savings in terms of footprint and power installed”. “Up time availability is maximised by the high-quality equipment and design, “with the mean time to repair (MTTR) minimised thanks to its modular and hot-swappable architecture”, AEG said.
Product manager Alessandro Nalbone said: “Operations continuity is not an option in many industries or service businesses today. Protect Flex provides a compact, flexible and robust solution, minimising costs and maximising availability.”
