Genset boosts Denver data centre standby power

December 12, 2017

California’s Global Power Supply (GPS) has boosted backup power capacity at a data centre in Colorado with the delivery of an MTU 3000kW standby diesel generator.

GPS said the generator adds capacity to three existing MTU gensets at to Peak 10 + ViaWest's Compark facility in Denver.

“This solution is specifically designed to be fault tolerant and tier 3 certified by the Uptime Institute,” GPS said.

GPS said it was awarded the project based on a design-build quotation “which included multiple paralleled gensets installed over the course of several years”.
